In khrid brgya'i brgyud pa'i lo rgyus kha skong, Jetsün Taranatha writes:
།དེ་ལ་ནེ་གུའི་གདམས་སྐོར་འདི་ཀུན་ནི། སྤྱིར་མདོ་རྒྱུད་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་དགོངས་པ། ཁྱད་པར་མཐར་ཐུག་སྟོན་པ་རྒྱུད་སྡེ་ལྔའི་སྙིང་པོ། ཡང་སྒོས་ཐུན་མོང་མ་ཡིན་པ། སྡོམ་པ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་དང་། རིན་ཆེན་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་སྙིང་པོ་ཁོལ་ཕྱུང་དུ་བཞེད་དོ།
"This cycle of all of Niguma's instructions in general maintains the perspective of all sutras and tantras. In particular, it is the heart of the ultimate teachings of the five tantra classes. Even more particularly, and extraordinarily, it is believed to have extracted the essence of the Śaṃvara Ocean (Tantra) and Jewel Ocean (Tantra)". (Translation taken from Niguma, Lady of Illusion p. 29, with a note p. 267: "Saṃvara Ocean is identified by Roerich as ḍākarṇavamahāyoginītantrarāja (Toh 372), although this is by no means certain.
