In Lady of Illusion: Ma Lotsawa was a tibetan translator who studied in Kashmir and India with various great masters. He was married to the female master ma gcig zha ma (1062-1149), important in the Lamdré tradition.Probably a relative of Pandita Edeva.
Sometimes spelled dmar lo tsA ba or even mar pa lo tsA ba, it is very likely a different master not to be confused with Marpa Chökyi Lodrö.
